UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024: Uttar Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (UPPSC) has issued a short notice regarding the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Prelims 2024 exam date on its official website.
The exam is now scheduled for December 22, 2024, across the state. This change follows the cancellation of the previous schedule for the PCS Prelims 2024 and RO/ARO exams after widespread agitation by candidates demanding single-shift exams. Initially, the exam was planned for December 7 and 8, 2024.
As per the latest notice:
- The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
- First Shift: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- Second Shift: 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Recruitment: 220 Vacancies and Pre Selection Process Details
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has launched a recruitment drive for 220 Upper Subordinate Service positions, including roles such as Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax), and more.
As part of the selection process, the UPPSC PCS Preliminary Exam will consist of two objective-type papers:
- General Studies Paper I
- CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Paper II
Both papers will be conducted on the same day. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to prepare thoroughly for these two critical stages of the selection process.
UPPSC PCS Selection Process
The selection process for UPPSC PCS involves the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination
