Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

The 260 vacancies are distributed across three main branches. Check if you are eligible for your preferred post.

1. Executive Branch (General Service & Others)

  • General Service [GS(X)]: 76 Posts (Men & Women)
    • Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any stream with minimum 60% marks.
    • Age Limit: Born between 02/01/2002 to 01/07/2007.
  • Air Traffic Control (ATC): 18 Posts
    • Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60%) + 60% in 10th & 12th + 60% in English (10th or 12th).
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2006.
  • Naval Air Operations Officer (NAOO): 20 Posts
    • Qualification: Same as ATC.
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2003 to 01/01/2008.
  • Pilot: 25 Posts
    • Qualification: Same as ATC.
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2003 to 01/01/2008.
  • Logistics: 10 Posts
    • Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60%) OR MBA (First Class) OR MCA/M.Sc IT (First Class).
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2002 to 01/06/2007.

2. Education Branch

  • Education Officer: 15 Posts (07 + 08 split)
    • Qualification:
      • M.Sc (Maths/Physics/Chemistry) with 60% marks & Physics/Maths in B.Sc.
      • OR BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, CS, Electrical, Electronics (First Class/60%).
    • Age Limit:
      • For M.Sc holders: 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2006.
      • For Engineers: 02/01/2000 to 01/01/2006.

3. Technical Branch

  • Engineering Branch (GS): 42 Posts
    • Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60%) in Mechanical, Marine, Auto, Production, Industrial, Aero, etc.
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2002 to 01/07/2007.
  • Electrical Branch (GS): 38 Posts
    • Qualification: BE/B.Tech (60%) in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Power Engg.
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2002 to 01/07/2007.
  • Submarine Technical (Engineering): 08 Posts (Men Only)
  • Submarine Technical (Electrical): 08 Posts (Men Only)
    • Qualification: Same as respective Engineering/Electrical branches.
    • Age Limit: 02/01/2002 to 01/07/2007.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant with a starting pay of approximately ₹ 56,100/- (Level 10).

  • Gross Salary: Approx. ₹ 1,25,000/- per month (including MSP, DA, HRA, etc.).
  • Perks: Free Medical, Canteen, Mess, Sports Facilities, and Insurance Cover of ₹ 75 Lakhs.

Selection Process: No Written Exam!

The selection is purely merit-based.

  1. Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying degree (BE/B.Tech/Post Graduation).
  2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB Interview (5 Days process) at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.
  3. Medical Exam: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a strict medical check-up.
  4. Final Merit List: Based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
