The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to close the online registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2026 tonight, March 8, 2026. If you aspire to become a doctor and haven’t submitted your form yet, this is your final warning. The servers are expected to slow down significantly after 6:00 PM, so you must act immediately.

Eligibility Criteria: Are You Eligible?

  • Age Limit: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31, 2026. (Born on or before Dec 31, 2009). There is no upper age limit.
  • Education: Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
  • Minimum Marks (PCB Aggregate): * General: 50%
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
    • PwBD: 45%

Mandatory Documents Checklist

Before you start the final login, keep these scanned files ready in JPG/JPEG format:

  1. Passport Size Photo: (10kb to 200kb, white background, 80% face coverage).
  2. Postcard Size Photo: (4”x6”) (10kb to 200kb).
  3. Signature: (4kb to 30kb, black ink).
  4. Left & Right Hand Fingers/Thumb Impression: (10kb to 200kb).
  5. Category Certificate: (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in PDF format (50kb to 300kb).

How to Apply Online for NEET UG 2026?

  1. Official Site: Visit exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.
  2. New Registration: Click on “New Candidate Register Here” and fill in your basic details to generate an Application Number.
  3. Login: Use the Application Number and Password to complete the form.
  4. Fill Personal & Academic Details: Ensure your Name, DOB, and Parents’ names match your Class 10th certificate.
  5. Exam City: Choose your preferred exam centers carefully.
  6. Upload Documents: Attach all the files mentioned in the checklist above.
  7. Payment: Complete the transaction. If the payment fails but money is deducted, wait for 24 hours or contact the bank before paying again.
  8. Confirmation Page: Download and print the confirmation page. This is mandatory for counseling.

Don’t panic if you make a minor error today. The NTA will open a Correction Window from March 10 to March 12, 2026. During this time, you can edit certain fields like your category, exam city, and uploaded images.
