The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway (WR), Mumbai has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the engagement of Act Apprentices for the year 2026. Under Advertisement No. RRC/WR/04/2025, a total of 5,349 vacancies have been announced across various trades and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • Matriculation: Must have passed Class 10th (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Technical: Must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.

2. Age Limit (As of March 23, 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 15 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 Years (Up to 29 years)
    • OBC: 3 Years (Up to 27 years)
    • PwBD: 10 Years (Up to 34 years)
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per Railway rules.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹100/-
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Women: No Fee (Exempted)
  • Payment must be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Selection Process (Merit-Based)

There is NO written exam or interview for this recruitment. Selection is entirely based on a merit list prepared using:

  1. 50% weightage to Matriculation (10th) marks.
  2. 50% weightage to ITI marks.
  3. Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the older candidate is preferred.

  4. Registration: Fill in your Name, Mobile Number, Email, and Aadhaar number to get your Registration ID.
  5. Application Form: Log in and enter your 10th marks, ITI marks, and choose your preferred division.
  6. Upload Documents: Scanned Photo, Signature, 10th Marksheet, and ITI Certificate.
  7. Payment: Pay the ₹100 fee (if applicable) and click submit.
  8. Print: Save the PDF of your application for the Document Verification (DV) stage.
