The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially moved into the final phase of the NTPC Undergraduate (12th Level) recruitment under CEN 07/2025. With over 63 lakh candidates competing for 3,058 vacancies, the competition is at an all-time high.
As of April 29, 2026, the RRB has activated the Exam City Intimation Slips for the first phase of exams. Candidates can now check their allotted city, shift timings, and exact exam date to plan their travel well in advance.

Perks & Allowances: In addition to the basic pay, employees receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and Medical facilities. The starting in-hand salary ranges from ₹28,000 to ₹35,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (50% marks not required for SC/ST/Ex-SM/PwBD).
- Age Limit (As of 01.01.2026):
- Minimum: 18 Years
- Maximum: 33 Years (UR/EWS)
- Age relaxation: OBC (3 Years), SC/ST (5 Years).
RRB NTPC CBT-1 Exam Pattern
The first stage is a screening test. Candidates must score high to be shortlisted for CBT-2 (usually 20 times the number of vacancies).

Follow these steps to access your details on the regional RRB portals:
- Visit the official website of your applied RRB (e.g., rrbkolkata.gov.in or rrbmumbai.gov.in).
- Click on the link “CEN 07/2025 NTPC UG City Intimation/Admit Card.”
- Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY).
- Your City Slip will appear. Check your Exam Date, Shift, and City.
- Note: The detailed Admit Card (with center name) will be available for download exactly 4 days before your exam
Mandatory Documents for Exam Day
You will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without these:
- Printed Copy of Admit Card: Must be a clear print.
- Original Photo ID Proof: Aadhaar Card (Original preferred), Voter ID, PAN Card, or Passport.
- One Color Photograph: Same as the one uploaded during registration.
