Good news for candidates who appeared in the Stenographer Recruitment Examination 2025. The Patna High Court has officially declared the written test result on 30 January 2026. The Computer Based Test was conducted on 22 December 2025 in three shifts across Patna centres.
A total of 6032 candidates appeared for the exam. After evaluation, 210 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage – Interview, based on merit and reservation rules.
Two candidates were disqualified as they did not meet the minimum age criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
How Many Candidates Qualified?
As per the official notice, candidates securing minimum qualifying marks and falling within three times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise) have been selected for the interview round.
Total shortlisted candidates: 210
The roll-number-wise merit list has been released as Annexure-I in the official PDF.
Category-Wise Cut-Off Marks (Written Test)
The High Court has also released the official cut-off marks for available categories:

Note: Cut-off marks for other categories (Female, EBC, SC, ST, OH etc.) were not published because sufficient candidates were not available in those categories.
Candidates scoring below their respective category cut-off or not meeting qualifying standards have not been shortlisted.
Document Verification & Interview Process
Before appearing in the interview, all shortlisted candidates must go through mandatory document verification.
You must carry original documents such as:
- Educational certificates
- Domicile certificate
- Caste / Category / NCL / Income & Asset certificate (if applicable)
- Any other documents mentioned in the advertisement
If proper certificates are not produced, reservation benefits will be cancelled and the candidate will be treated as Unreserved (UR).
Candidates applying under OH category will also undergo a medical examination by a Medical Board during the interview process.
Interview Date & Admit Card
- The interview schedule will be announced soon on the official website.
- Interview admit cards will be released online only (no postal dispatch).
- Shortlisted candidates will also receive updates via registered email/SMS.
Applicants are advised to regularly check the official recruitment portal for further updates.
What If Your Roll Number Is Not in the Result?
If your roll number does not appear in the shortlisted list, it means:
- You did not secure minimum qualifying marks, OR
- Your score is below the category cut-off.
