Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the PSSSB Clerk post, candidates must fulfill the following:
- Graduation: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Computer Qualification: Must have completed a 120-hour computer course from a recognized institute OR hold a DOEACC ‘O’ Level certificate.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with Punjabi as a subject.
- Note: If you didn’t have Punjabi in 10th, you must pass a qualifying Punjabi test with at least 50% marks.
2. Age Limit (as of 01 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years for all.
- Maximum Age: 37 years (General Category).
- Age Relaxation: * SC/BC (Punjab): Up to 42 years.
- PwBD (Punjab): Up to 47 years.
- Widows/Divorcees: Up to 40 years.
- Central/State Govt Employees: Up to 45 years.
Salary and Perks
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 2.
- Basic Pay: ₹19,900 per month.
- Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200.
- In-hand Salary: Approximately ₹30,000 to ₹38,000 initially (including DA, HRA, and other allowances).

Selection Process
The selection is merit-based and involves the following stages:
- Written Exam (MCQ): * Part A (Punjabi): Only qualifying (50% marks required); marks are not added to the merit.
- Part B (Merit): Includes GK, Reasoning, Math, English, and Computer. Merit is based solely on this part.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 (1/4th) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates from the merit list will be called to verify original certificates.
